New Jersey Korean War Memorial

The New Jersey Korean War Memorial is located at the Brighton Park in Atlantic City where the park meets the boardwalk. This Korean War Memorial was dedicated in July of the year 2000. Today, it serves as one of the most popular and frequently visited sightseeing destination in New Jersey. The Park consists of a 12 feet high statue of a mourning soldier who is clutching a dogtag and is remembering his lost comrades. To the left of the statue is are a group of soldier "under fire" who emerges from a sheet of water.



Most importantly, the back wall of the Korean War Memorial in New Jersey depicts the names of 822 New Jerseyans who either got killed during the war or went missing.



The CRDA had contributed a sum of $1 million to this $ 3 million project of New Jersey Korean War Memorial. The Koren War Memorial of New Jersey evinces incidents of America's involvement in the war, its accomplishment and of course the contribution and sacrifices of the American men. Unquestioningly, the war memorial of New Jersey ensure to remind the present and future generations about the services, legacy and freedom that the war soldiers preserved. In other words, the New Jersey Korean War Memorial is more than just a tribute to the dead war veterans.

To recall the history, the Korean war soldiers of America struggled and fought hard to save the South Korea from meeting a dramatic end. The achievements, prosperity and peace that South Korea enjoys today would not have been accomplished, had it not been for the sacrifices and struggles endeavored by the New Jersey soldiers in the Korean War. In spite of an unsatisfactory end of the battle, South Korea has its freedom protected and preserved.
