Ocean City Free Public Library

Located at 1735 Simpson Avenue, the Ocean City Free Public Library is one of the most popular public library in Ocean City of New Jersey. The first Ocean City library was placed at the second floor of the wood frame building and remained there from 1915-1925. It was much later that the next building was founded at the Ocean Avenue on the request of former Mayor Harry Headley. The present Ocean City Free Public Library was designed by architects Gutwein-Guenther and the total cost came upto over $3 million.



Today, the Ocean City Free Public Library houses a collection of nearly 100,000 volumes. The general operating hours of the New Jersey's Ocean City Free Public Library are Monday to Friday between 9am to 9pm, Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm and Sundays from 1pm to 5pm.
