Steel Pier

Standing 1,000 feet long, the Steel Pier is an amusement pier in Atlantic city of New Jersey. It is located just opposite to The Boardwalk from Trump Taj Mahal. Today, it is one of the most frequently visited sightseeing attractions in New Jersey. A large number of tourists visit this spectacular Steel pier everyday and this is one of the major reasons why Steel Pier has earned the name of being the most popular tourist spot in Atlantic city.



Some time back it had been declared that the Steel Pier would close permanently in the October of 2006. However, this magnificent Steel Pier of New Jersey that was founded in 1898, remained open for another year.



This Steel Pier is scheduled for hosting Family night festivals on every Thursday starting from the year 2007. Moreover, the Fall schedule that is to start from the 8 September 2007, will have the Pier open on Saturdays as well as on Sundays. The Steel Pier of Atlantic city, New Jersey is owned by the Trump Entertainment Resort and informations about it have disclosed that it will also house retail and entertainment attractions for the tourists and visitors along with the luxury condominiums.

The Steel Pier has a very interesting history of being known as ' an Amusement City at Sea'. Besides, it was also once recognized as the ' Show Place of the Nation' that hosted activities like high diving horse, Rex the wonder dog, water skiing canine and a lot more. As a matter of fact the steel pier was initially much longer until was cut short in 1969. The Steel Pier is very popular for offering one of the best family entertainment in the city. Most importantly, the Steel Pier offers live music and dance performances for entertaining the guests.
